Overview According to the note on the inside cover of "Essays in Prose and Verse," the essays and poetry inside were written by Samuel Morris when he was 13, and again later when he was a student at Haverford College in 1843. This volume is a copy of the original, and is copied by Beulah S. Morris, who wrote this copy as a gift for her father, on his 55th birthday, in 1846.
