Leeds, Josiah W. (Josiah Woodward)

The account books of Josiah W. Leeds record the publication account of various books written by Leeds and others. Each volume records the number of volumes purchased, who they were sold to, or how they were distributed, and the price each volume was sold for, for each title. At the back of each volume are clippings of book reviews for the titles accounted for in the volume.

This collection is comprised of the papers of Josiah W. Leeds, predominantly of materials related to Leeds's writing. It includes personal correspondence, handwritten copies of his manuscripts essays, miscellaneous notes, and research notes.

Twenty-two scrapbooks of correspondence (circa 2,000 letters) of Josiah Woodward Leeds (1841-1908) with persons involved in the social reform movements of the late 19th century as well as tracts and clippings of articles and editorials written by Leeds and articles on topics of interest to him.
