Abstract David Fraser was the 12th President of Swarthmore College (1982-1991). Trained as a physician with an emphasis on epidemiology, David W. Fraser (b. 1944) is also known as an advocate of liberal arts education, a scholar of public health, and an artist in traditional methods of textile construction. This collection consists of a book, compiled of all the sources used in the making of The Papers of William Penn Volume 5 by Edwin B. Bronner and David Fraser. Compilation and formatting was done by Sylvia T. Bronner and Dr. Isabel Kenrick. There is also a copy of the acknowledgements page from The Papers of William Penn Volume 5 by Edwin B. Bronner and David Fraser.

Abstract

Leah Smith was an administrator at Swarthmore College, at various times holding the positions of Assistant to the President and Director of Institutional Research, as well as Acting Associate Provost and Acting Dean of the College. This collection is made up of materials amassed by Leah J. Smith in her role as Assistant to the President (also included are some materials carried over from the Assistant to the President prior to Smith).
