Scope and Contents
All of the letters in this file were addressed to Morris by Benjamin Hadwen of Newport, Rhode Island. Hadwen discusses the purchase of barley in Newport for shipment to Philadelphia, requests Morris send him superfine flour "such as when it comes on I can recommend for family use," and sends a letter of recommendation for Captain John Johnson.
