This file contains materials pertaining to Luke W. Morris's guardianship of the children of Caleb Cresson. It includes an 1822 petition from Deborah Ann Cresson and Sarah E. Cresson Jr. for Luke W. Morris to be the children's guardian; bills and receipts paid by Morris for work done on a property on Cresson's Alley for members of the Cresson family; a copy of receipts given to Elliott Cresson "from commencement to 1826" (Elliott Cresson was the executor of the estate of Caleb Cresson); Joshua Cresson's opinion on a legal matter; an outline of the estates of Caleb Cresson and John E. Cresson with the division of property as intended by Caleb Cresson; and a list of cash received by Luke W. Morris for rents and ground rents belonging to the estate of the late Caleb Cresson Sr.
