Basketball, 1925-1994

This folder contains documents and items relating to the men's and women's basketball teams. The first is a schedule for the men's team of the 1925 to 1926 season. There are also two invitations to games. One is for men's and women's games that took place on January 19, 1994. The men played Pharmacy and the women played Bryn Mawr. The other invitation is just for the men's team in 1979. The JV amd varsity teams played that day. Another item is a program for a women's game where Haverford played Albright College on February 18, 1987. This was the last game of this season, as the cover of the program indicates, so on the inside of the program all the players at the time signed their names next to the roster. There is also a note from Captain Stephanie James addressed to "Mr. Hebda." There's also a program for an event called "The Ram's Classic" where multiple school's basketball teams participated. The schools where the women's teams participated were West Chester State, Montclair state, St. Joseph's, and Ursinus. The schools where the men's teams participated were also West Chester State, Haverford, Oneonta State, and Swathmore. The program contains the rosters of each team. Haverford's men's team signed their names on the page with their roster. There are two other items that are letters addressed to a "Walt" from the head coach at the time of the men's team, Tony Zanin. The next item is a program for Moravian College's basketball team in the 1981-1982 season. Inside of this program are rosters of other schools that Moravian played as well as their own. For every entry there is a small history of the team mentioned. On Haverford's page, the players and the coach, Tony Zanin, signed their names. There's a similar program for the 1978-1979 Jacket Tournaments at Randolph-Macon College. Many different schools are mentioned, and again, on Haverford's page with their roster and information, the players signed their names. There's another program for the 1976 to 1977 season that has a very similar format again. The Haverford players again signed on their page. Lastly, there's a program for the men's games in 1970 against Swathmore. The program contains rosters for both schools' varsity and JV teams, as well as a blank scorecard inside.
