The genealogical research was inherited by Edith Newlin's nephew, Henry Gawthrop, and then by Emma Gawthrop Hayes (Mrs. J. Russell Hayes). In 1937, she added notes at the end of the volume concerning family heirlooms. Formerly cataloged as MSS 020, genealogical manuscript.
