Scope and Contents

Glass plate negatives of Walter Smedley,largely 5"x 7" architectural projects and landscapes in Philadelphia, Swarthmore, and Media, Pennsylvania, and in New Jersey, Catskills, Upstate New York, etc. Many are not included in the Philadelphia Architects and Buildings (PAB) project and have been demolished. Also some family photographs. See spreadsheet for complete information.

Arrangement

Arranged in the order received. Numbered when scanned and rehoused in same order, consecutive numbers.

Physical Description

5 x 7 glass negatives, conditions vary as indicated on spreadsheet. The negatives were cleaned and scanned in 2018, Adam Levine who was chair of the Media (Pa) Historic Commission and assisted the Smedleys in the transfer of the family papers and photographs.
