The letters in this file were addressed to Morris by the following merchants and mercantile firms in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: William Simmons (asking Morris to effect insurance on Schooner "Favorite" and a cargo of corn), John Johnson (requesting a recommendation to owners of Ship "Superior"), Joshua Harlon Jr. (purchasing flour and soap on account), Charles C. Watson (invoice for clothing), John A. Cooke, and Reeve & Lewis.
