Scope and Contents
Includes correspondence, memorandum and financial documents between various parties of the Licensed Agencies for Relief in Asia (LARA). Gilbert Bowles (as a member of the Hawaii Committee on Relief for Japan and Korea), Esther Rhoads (as a member of the American Friends Service Committee's Committee on Japan), and other organizations involved with relief efforts in Japan are the main creators. Most of the correspondence, written by Rhoads and Jack Cadbury, deals with the logistics of bringing clothing and food relief overseas and the financial details of shipping and freight.
