Russian Visit (Proposed), 1957-1959

Includes a wide variety of materials related and unrelated to a set of visits of physicians from the United States to the Soviet Union and physicians from the Soviet Union to the United States. Material related to this program includes correspondence between members of the Friends Medical Society and members of the Society's board on the feasibility of a trip to the Soviet Union, documents re: logistical matters of the program, and multiple copis of the final report on the Society's members' visit published in the Society newsletter. Material unrelated to the exchange program with the Soviet Union includes other newsletters from 1959 and copies of the Society's statement on radiation and nuclear weapons.
