Scope and Contents
Journals kept by J. Edgar Rhoads (?) detailing work with U.S. government's "Indian Department" and different groups of Indigenous peoples including the Shawnees, Cheyenne, Kickapoo, and others. Includes discussion of distribution of land and moving of Indigenous peoples, building of schools for Indigenous peoples, meetings between Indigenous peoples and Quakers. Journals are from Washington D.C. and Kansas.
