Scope and Contents

There is an organizational letter relevant to folders from 1830-1850, in the 1832-33 folder to stay protected. Elizabeth White [In the House of Representatives, a congressman has brought up a resolution to impose a toll on their coal on the Delaware River as it is on the Lehigh. Their canal and locks are twice the size of those on the Delaware River and their inducement to make a canal was the right to charge a toll on coal, great excitement on account of pack ship Susquehanna being captured by pirates; Mahlon Day visited; heard a powerful sermon from J. Bowne in Monthly Meeting, ], A.H. Ralston, Josiah White.
