Scope and Contents
The letters in this file were addressed to Morris by William Deming and Wells & Deming of Petersburg, Virginia. William Deming asked Morris about the price of North Carolina white corn, pitch, rosin, hard and soft turpentine, and spirts of turpentine in the Philadelphia market. Wells & Deming sent souchong tea, bacon, and tobacco to Morris to be sold in Philadelphia and requested that Morris send them china ware and "dutch cut Glassware."
