Ann Koger named women's tennis and volleyball coach at HC (81-159). Edward T. Rewolinski named new treasurer at HC (81-159). Tom Glasser, HC senior, wins gold medal as a member of the United States 1,600 meter relay team at the World Maccabiah Games (81-160). Ann Satterthwaite appointed director of publications at HC (81-161). Endowd professorships awarded to Ariel Loewy, Roger Lane, Wyatt MacGaffey, and R. Bruce Partridge (81-163). No 81-165 or 166. Astronomy profesor R. Bruce Partridge appointed as dean of the college (81-168). HC receives unrestricted grant of $3,000 from the Brunswick Foundation's Small College Program (81-173). HC to receive $500,000 challenge grant from the Charles A. Dana Foundation to establish the Charles A. Dana Endowed Scholarshp Fund, with the condition that over the next five years, the college must raise an additional $500,000 in matching funds (81-176).
