  • Alexander, William: Sent to Lt. Col. Burr, dated July 4, 1778. Regarding Washington's request that Burr should procure all possible information from the city of New York. Also: sent to Gen. Woodford, dated October 4, 1778. Regarding the burning of the enemy's forrage vessels. Also: sent to Samuel Tucker, dated March 17, 1776. New York is being fortified to resist an expected attack of the enemy. Also: a lottery ticket with Stirling's signature, dated 1772.
  • Alexander, William: Document dated March 6, 1759. Statement concering the land in east New Jersey belonging to John Drummond, Earl of Melford. Also: surveys made for James Drummard, Earl of Perth, dated respectively Mar 20, 1769; Apr 16, 1773; Aug 4, 1773; Sep 20, 1773; Sep 30, 1774; Oct 8, 1774; Nov 29, 1774.
  • Armand, Charles, Marquis de la Rouerie: Report to Mak. Gen. Green, dated November 24, 1779. Also: sent to Col. Melcher, dated August 11, 1783. Invitation to dinner.
  • Armstrong, John: Sent to Brig.-Gen. Lacey, dated May 5, 1778. Relative to Lacey's troops, etc.
  • Armstrong, John: Sent to ---, dated May 26, 1755. Reports progress on the making of a road, also tells of Indian depredations.
  • Armstrong, John: Sent to his son James, dated July 21, 1773. Full of local news.
  • Armstrong, John: Sent to Cadwalader Morris, dated July 6, 1781. Those in Western Pennsylvania cannot serve in the army because they are so poor.
