Scope and Contents
Materials related to George Patterson include a letter to his wife from April 12, 1812, a letter from James Patterson to George Patterson from April 30, 1789, a promissory note dated Feb. 27, 1809 between George Patterson and George Rex, and a letter from Andrew Gregg to George Patterson on January 28, 1813 re: Patterson's patent which was presented to the department by Gregg. Materials related to consists of an agreement between Samuel Bryson and Patterson allowing Bryson to board at James Patterson’s house, 1783. Materials related to James Burd Patterson include an abstract of a deed from James Burd Patterson to Richard Hear, 1859; and a biographical sketch of James Burd Patterson by Malcolm Patterson, n.d.
