Scope and Contents
Info Projects: 70-63 to 70-76. Antillean Institute of Social Sciences, a ten-week, social-science institute, opens in Willemstad, Curacao, co-directed by A. Paul Hare, professor of sociology at HC, and Victor Pinedo, Jr., a Curacao businessman, HC 1962 (70-63). Professor Edwin B. Bronner, librarian and historian at HC, named president of two Quaker historical associations -- one in the United States, one in England (70-71). Haverford College and PHEAA reach agreement considering the new state law that requires colleges to report certain info on student activities (70-72). Alumni financial support increased dramatically over the past year (70-74). HC begins 137th year, with about 675 students, including exchange students from Sarah Lawrence, Smith, Vassar, and Bryn Mawr (70-75). Roberto Rivera named fourth annual winner of Jose Padin Scholarship at HC (70-76).
