Scope and Contents

Includes correspondence and memorandum between various parties of the Licensed Agencies for Relief in Asia (LARA). Gilbert Bowles (as a member of the Hawaii Branch of the AFSC), members of the American Friends Service Committee's Committee on Japan (Edward Peacock is most prominent), and other organizations involved with relief efforts in Japan are the main creators. Most of the correspondence deals with the logistics of bringing clothing and food relief overseas.
