ALS. Clemson discusses with Green the upcoming Whig Party convention and the party's possible candidates for vice president. "When we look at the various discordant interests of so extensive a country it is not possible to select any man who will suit all. We must therefore look for such a man as will add most strength, when we most need it--Frelinghuysen is my own first choice."
