Scope and Contents
This file contains receipts and other financial ephemera belonging to Luke W. Morris. It includes payment to Andrew Mein for tuition for his daughters Mary and Elizabeth, payment to Sarah Osborne for tuition for daughters Sarah and Mary, payment to Mary S. and Susan H. Cox for tuition for his daughters Mary and Elizabeth and school supplies, and payment to Hannah Parker for tuition for Catharine Boyle. There are also accounts with Israel W. Morris. Finally, there is a letter from Morris to Lewis Walker that reads "Mary Lavis wishes a hat for her son. Please to put it to her as reasonable as thee can she says she will pay for it in 3 or 4 weeks. I have no doubt she will be as good as her word, should she be disappointed I will be answerable for the same."
