[apparently a physician, Fountain writes a lengthy diagnosis of the disease from which Arthur Mekeel died] Nichols, M. to “Friend Haviland.” B. Asylum, 1850 4/12. [assures the recipient that the medication prescribed for Arthur Mekeel, Nux Vomica, was not the cause of death]
