The letters in this file were addressed to Morris by the following merchants and mercantile firms in New Haven, Connecticut: Nathaniel Chauncey (attesting to the solvency of Caldwell & Scarborough), Hotchkiss & Harrison (cheese), Theron Beach (sending bills he would like Morris to sell and use the proceeds to purchase a draft on New York), and A. & S. Bradley (asking about availability and price of bandana handkerchiefs, blue nankeen, and tea).
