Scope and Contents
This file includes bills and receipts belonging to Luke W. Morris. There are payments to Stephen M. Day for his son Samuel's instruction in Latin as well as a tuition payment for one scholar, Rebecca French, as charity. Other materials relate to payments for surveying, fencing, "the Season of one Mare to the Horse Expedition," boards and planks, shoes, beef, salt, raisins, meat, work on a wagon, cord, taxes, repairing a copper kettle, wharfage, blacksmithing, an iron kettle, clover seed, cloth, stockings, tobacco, a cow, casks, wine, keeping two colts, sugar, pork, plaster, and spirits. There is also a bill for Ann Morris's purchase from Joseph Lownes of a gold chain, whistle and bells, and a locket.
