Scope and Contents

This file contains bills and receipts belonging to Luke Morris. It includes Luke Morris's payment to Isaac W. Morris for his half of taxes and half the cost of surveying their land in Wayne County, Pennsylvania; payment to Mary L. Cox for his daughter Elizabeth's tuition; payment to William Little for John Harman's tuition; payment to Hannah England for tuition and school supplies for daughters Mary and Elizabeth (called Betsy); payment to Deborah Musgrave for Mary's tuition; and payment to John Swain for painting the front parlor and also painting, glazing, and glass for his "Middle Store in Taylors Alley."
