Abstract

This will divides up furniture and assets amongst Naomi Morris and Owen Jones and their families and children. The lands and tenements are divided between Owen and Naomi and much money is directed to be put in trusts for the grandchildren.

1865 6/15 Will [Gives Naomi her Right of Dower, thus giving her claim to the Harriton Estate. Grandson Owen Glendowen Jones receives the “Homeworth” Mansion House and Farm in Lower Merion, Jonathan Aubrey Jones receives the house and barn on Lancaster Turnpike. Granddaughter Emily R. Jones receives $5,000 and a gold watch, while the remainder of the estate goes to Owen Jones. Sister Jane W. Cleaver and cousin Priscilla Tunis receive money. The first codicil notes the death of Emily R. Jones and passes her inheritance to Owen Jones, and the second codicil, dated 1871 6/6 notes the death of Owen G. Jones. This codicil passes “Homeworth” on to Jonathan A. Jones]
