Biographical / Historical
The program begins as IBM computer loan program for familiarization, experimentation and computer curriculum development in 1984. It becomes a shared purchase in 1989, with the College covering $1000, the computer is owned by College, maintenance and repair is covered by College, user must use VAX mail. In 1990 the College covers 60% up to $1700; in 1996 College covers full cost of standard desk top.
