Pennsylvania Supreme Court commemorative coin, 1972
Scope and Contents
A sterling silver coin issued by the Franklin Mint in 1972 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. In original Franklin Mint case. Front of coin depicts Chief Justice David Lloyd and a symbolic session of the court presided over by Chief Justice Thomas McKean. Back of coin depicts the seal of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the year 1776. Inside the case is a small pamphlet by the Franklin Mint that describes the coin. Accompanying this coin is a program of events to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
