Scope and Contents

A sampler given by Sarah R. Grubb of Clonmel-school, Ireland, to Rebecca Jones of Philadelphia in "Eleventh month 1788" upon the latter's return to Philadelphia from travel among the Quakers in Europe. Framed. Attached to back of frame are various biographical sketches from the DQB, provenance information, and a note on the sampler's text.
