John Davison fulfilled his Alternative Civilian Service requirement at Rochester General Hospital, New York, between 1955-1957, and some of the correspondence surrounding this appointment is included in this file. JD continues to receive frequent correspondence from Joseph Dibble, Giorgio Gaggia, Jean Lunn, Margaret Massey-Stewart, and Noel Waterman, among others. JD's professors, Alfred Swan and Randall Thompson, write about their current experiences and about theirs and JD's music. Members of the Davison family, Eloise Hollett, W. Phillips 'Phill', and Roderic, also frequently write. Phill notes that he and his family have moved into a new house less than a block away from Roderic.
