The letters in this year comprise mostly of casual correspondences from friends and family, though some also write regarding the performance and publishing of John Davison's music. Hollett 'Holly' Davison, John Davison's niece, and her fiancé, George Trexler Wolf, both write to ask JD if he will play at their wedding. Michael Bradley continues to write extensively, both about his trial and about greater philosophical topics. He sends JD a packet of information about Catholicism from the Benedictine Convent of Perpetual Adoration. Mary Campbell, a student at San Diego State College, writes to request information about contemporary music in public schools for a paper she is writing. John Gummere writes to invite JD to become the treasurer of the Haverford branch of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Vincent Roark writes to share news that he has acheived his GED and completed training for electrical equipment repair, and sends copies of his two certificates. Gordon Adams, Jon Amsden, Guy Davenport, Joseph Dibble, Giorgio Gaggia, John Greppin, Gaynelle Irving, Anthony 'Tony' Kooiker, Jean Lunn, Margaret Massey-Stewart, William 'Bill' Reese, Alfred 'Alia' Swan, and Noel Waterman also continue to write extensively.
