John Davison and his wife Elizabeth Geary Davison received an invitation to the Danforth Associateship from the Danforth Society, and correspondence regarding these grants from Robert Rankin, Director of the Associate Program, are found in this year. John Davison was also confirmed as the chairman of the Music Department of Haverford College, with a letter of thanks from John Coleman, President of the College. In response to JD's essay "The Effect of ‘Mind-Expanding’ Drugs on Education," John Davison was invited to give a lecture at the Friends General Conference titled "Fulfillment and the Expansion of Consciousness: is there a role for drugs?" In addition, Michael Bradley, Guy Davenport, Giorgio Gaggia, John Greppin, Gaynelle Irving, Raffaello 'Ray' Orlando, and Alfred Swan continue to correspond regularly.
