The most prolific writers are friends writing casually. Ross Care sends an article he wrote. John Greppin sends essays and poems written by his daughter, Sally Greppin. Susan Shields sends numerous letters, and also poetry she has written. Douglas Steere sends a postcard to John Davison's son, Alan Davison. Gordon Adams, Matthew Allen, Guy Davenport, Elizabeth Geary Davison, Giorgio Gaggia, and Anthony 'Tony' Kooiker also send letters. In addition, Tamara Brooks and David Lesniaski ask John Davison to write recommendations for their application to Harvard University and the Eastman School of Music, respectively.
