Scope and Contents
Memoranda on arrangements for the Anniversary and preparations and background papers for a symposium for the “Sounding Board” on four issues facing the college: (1) College size; (2) Coeducation and Cooperation; (3) Faculty Development and Tenure; (4) Accountability and Solvency.
Access Restrictions
Records of the Office of the Provost are closed for a period of 25 years from the date of the creation of the record.
Biographical / Historical
The Sounding Board was appointed to provide a channel for “those loyal supporters among our alumni and friends toward whom we must certainly look over the next years for key financial support and volunteer leadership” to provide a sampling of attitudes on concerns that the college will face in the near future.
