Scope and Contents

Letters from England and the Continent. Letter from Bristol, 2mo. 6, 1800, tells of receipt of news of Washington's death; praises him. Also speaks of a real estate boom in Bristol “before the war”, which afterwards collapsed. Letter from Geneva, 11mo. 14, 1800, gives excellent picture of travels in Switzerland, conditions, state of development, etc. Letter dated Lincoln, 1800, gives detailed discourse on agricultural methods in England.
