Biographical / Historical
The T2 subcommittee of X3 (later NCITS and INCITS) is responsible for "Information Interchange and Interpretation." MFF was heavily involved in this subcommittee, culminating in his being its acting chair, beginning in 1999.

Beginning with Meeting No. 40 (March 1997), X3 was renamed the National Committee for Information Technology Standards (NCITS). This finding aid will continue to use the name X3 in addition to NCITS for clarity. The current (2013) name of the committee is the InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS).
