Biographical / Historical
The '568 Group' was named after the subsection of federal law that permits the general communication of financial aid policies. It was characterized as a "secretive…gathering of elite college presidents…. The aim of the group is reportedly to develop a set of general principles that will encourage more needs-based, rather than merit-based, financial aid among institutions."
Extent
7 folders (Statistics, comparative and internal; 568 Group meeting notes, Statement of [Financial Aid] Principals, and common needs analysis protocol for determining financial aid; background articles.)
