This collection contains a copies of "Legacy for Children: the Dying Sayings of Hannah Hill" (1812), "Meeting of Ministers and Elders in London" (1837), "Substance of Midlred Radcliff's Dream" (1840), a letter written by Phebe Pennock to "Friend" (1827), a letter written by William J. Allinson, and a discription of Friends occupying seats in the gallery of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting (18--?) .

Biographical Note

Catherine (Cathy) Brinton Cary was born in Richmond, Indiana, in 1924. Her family moved to Pendle Hill, where her parents served as co-directors. Cary attended Westtown Boarding School and Antioch College, where she studied psychology and occupational therapy. She met her husband, John Richard Cary, at a Quaker Meeting in Baltimore in the early 1950s. They moved to Haverford, Pennsylvania, where her husband taught German at Haverford College. She died in 2016.
