Biographical Note

Fay Ajzenberg-Selove (1926-2012) was a nuclear physicist specializing in nuclear spectroscopy and the first full-time female faculty member at Haverford College. During her life, she was the Nuclear Physics chair of the American Physics Society and a recipient of the 2007 National Medal of Science. She died in 2012.
