Biographical / Historical

Sons of Africa at Haverford was a student-run organization centered around the experience of African American men on campus. It served as social support for African American men and organized mostly identity-centered events. During the 2019-2020 academic year, the Sons of Africa became known as Black x Brown, whose mission is to "provide academic, social, and emotional support to masculine-identifying people of color in the hopes of fostering a strong drive for achieving personal and academic excellence."
