Scope and Contents
This collection is comprised of materials concerning appeals for funds and the admission of all qualified children regardless of race to Media Friends School in the late 1930s. Included are letters, mostly in support of this action, including from Wilmot R. Jones, Dorothy Biddle James, James G. Vail, Thomas E. Jones, Thomas Kelly, Dorothy Steere, and others. Also "Account of Friends School Incident Involving the Admission of a Colored Child, Feb. 1937" by Dorothy B. James and other related materials.
