Scope and Contents
Letters, journals, accounts of deceased Friends, genealogical records, Yearly Meeting Epistles, and other items. Bulk of material concerns members of the Morris and Hacker families. Of special interest are the following: will of Deborah Morris, 1793; an account book for Beulah Morris Hacker, 1830, listing expenses incurred in assembling her trousseau and her diary of a journey to Niagara in 1828; a letter to Beulah Morris Hacker from her sister, 7mo. 15, 1841, describing an early train ride; diary and letter of Jeremiah Hacker, telling of journeys in the ministry; and a letter from Paschall Hacker to his father, 9mo. 18, 1861, describing Civil War activity in Philadelphia. Letter writers also include Moses Brown, Stephen Grellet, and Anthony S. Morris.

Biographical Note
Beulah Morris (1811-1892), daughter of Isaac Wistar Morris (1770-1831) and Sarah Paschall (1772-1842), was married to Jeremiah Hacker (1799-1866).
