Scope and Contents note
This collection is comprised of four volumes, one of which is a transcription of one of the other volumes. They all relate to the rules and regulations for the Ackworth School in England. The duplicated volumes begin with a letter written by "S.R.G" to George Dillwyn, describing the value and concerns of Quaker education. George Dillwyn carried the concern of religious education, and concieved an idea of creating a simliar school to Ackworth in America, which became Westtown School, outside of Philadelphia, PA.
