Biographical Note
Walter Linton Moore was born near Kennett Square, Chester County, Pennsylvania, on October 27, 1858, to Kirkwood Moore and Esther Linton. Moore entered the junior class of Haverford from Ercildoun, Pennsylvania, in 1882. Before attending Haverford, he taught at Friend's Academy in Moorestown, New Jersey. He later became secretary to Abbott's Alderney Dairies. He married Gulielma Harvey in Philadelphia in April, 1887.
