Letters are addressed to "Momsey," while envelopes are addressed to "Mrs. E.J. Walenta". Some letters are also addressed to "Dizzy." Some letters are written on the stationery of the General Theological Seminary, Chelsea Square, New York, while others bear the dateline of The Gladstone, a hotel in Philadelphia.

Includes information cards on the 1911 Christmas Day services, delivered by George Walenta. The blank backs of these cards were used to paste small jokes, clipped from publications. Also includes the Lent 1922 issue of the Church of St. Simeon, as well as ephemera related to George Walenta's induction into Philateles Lodge in Philadelphia.

Includes a report on "Honors," which records that George Walenta graduated from Penn Charter School with an Honor average and the 1897 Penn Charter School commencement program.

Includes short essays written by Walenta, as well as longer papers. Most have feedback from professors in the margins as well.

Includes line drawings of figures, plants, architecture details and other subjects.

Includes family snapshots and formal photographs of individuals. A few negatives are included. Some formal photographs are cartes-de-visite and cabinet cards, as well as odd-sized photographs mounted on heavy cardstock. One photograph is a posed group portrait of what appears to be a sports team.

Journals also include lists of books read and birds seen, as well as pressed leaves and flowers. Volume 2 of the journals, 1896-97, was written in Hamburg, Germany.
