The volume was compiled by Albert L. Baily Jr. after Jacob R. Elfreth’s death, using extracts from Elfreth’s diaries. The volume includes a foreword by Albert Baily. The volume provides a brief history of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, and includes Baily’s account of the Yearly Meetings for the following years: 1874, 1876-1878, 1880-1890, 1892-1894, 1896-1906, and 1909-1916.
