Scope and Contents Includes correspondence from the Pennsylvania Department of Highways informing the Kirkbrides that 704 S. Front St. (their home) was being acquired by the Department of Highways for an expansion of Interstate 95. Correspondence with Samuel Rappaport, a lawyer that the Kirkbrides attempted to hire to dispute the acquisition in court, is also included.  A later letter from Beatrice in 1976 indicates that ultimately the house was not condemned, but the neighboring houses were purchased by the...
