"We are grateful to you for having allowed us to see the poems and do exceedingly hope that it would not hurt you to give us "The Unarmed" with permission to end the poem with the line, 'and gazing always one way.' But should you rather not, I shall accept your decision understandingly and bear the disappointment with what patience I can summon."
