Henry Joel Cadbury graduated from Haverford College (A.B. 1903) and Harvard University (M.A. 1904 and Ph.D. 1914). Cadbury served as a trustee and director of Bryn Mawr College for many years and was Chairman for the Board of Directors from 1956 to 1969. He was one of the foudners of the American Friends Service Committee in 1917 and Chairman of that organization 1928-34, 1944-60.
