Abstract Marie A. Richards was born June 8, 1913. She was prepared at Gordon-Roney and Agnes Irwin, both in Philadelphia. She attended Bryn Mawr College, graduating in 1935. After graduation, she worked as Associate Editor for the American Philosophical Society until 1978.
